Sometimes corporations just do it wrong when it comes to asking social media folks to promote their brands. Like Pepsi Refresh, which basically asks thousands of nonprofits to shill for grants worth far less than the ensuing publicity.
But I like the "Write a Post, Help a Dog Campaign" from Pedigree Foundation. It brings attention to the needs of shelter dogs, while Pedigree matches each blog post with a 20 lb. food donation to a shelter. The goal is 500 posts by Sept. 3.
