Adriel, thanks for the comment on this suggestion. My thinking with this one is to see if a team could collaborate to write script (maybe at CityCampSF Hackathon) that would somehow parse out a tweet (such as the one cited in the Suggestion / Challenge example above) into several components for NationBuilder, apart from designating the tweet author (twitter handle): (1) Description, (2) Hashtags, (3) Petition Link (if incorporated in the tweet) and (4) associated / cited twitter users in the tweet. For the tweet cited in the above example,
http://twitter.com/AnonyOps/status/142999803910045698 — a successful script would create a result with the push of a button (OAuth) — it would also recognize terms such as “cc” or “via” and weed them out — and the output in NationBuilder would look like this:
